Insulin and incretin agents (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors [DPP4is] and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists [GLP1 RAs]) are second-line treatment options in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) not achieving glycemic targets with metformin.
